New Life REcovery Small Group
"Those who hope in the Lord, will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not grow faint ."~ Isaiah 40:32
Who ARe we?
"In 2019 God spoke to my heart to start a recovery group that was different then the common types of recovery groups. I feel like He told me to base the group on relationship. Relationship with people and most importantly with HIm. In Septemeber 2019, New Life Recovery was born." - Leah Wolfe
What Do We Do?
Each week we do something a little different!
We do everything from Bible studies to game nights.
There is no set curriculum and each group is based on a talk therapy format.
Lessons are based on biblical principles. We grow through connection with one another and with God as we study scripture.
We encourage our members to step out of their comfort zone and take turns sharing their testimonies, or lead a group on a lesson that God has been walking you through.
We learn from the experiences of others.

My name is Joshua Kirchner.
I was born & raised in Chicago, Il. Being raised in a Christian family and knowing who God was at a young age, I accepted him as my savior as a little kid. Around the time I turned 15, I got deeply involved with gangs. I started drinking at the age of 15. I started drinking because I saw how much people enjoyed it. Not knowing the long term effects or the road it would take me down, I became an alcoholic by the time I was 17. For the next 25 years, I have been in and out of prison and still thought I could handle drinking.
The last 4 years have been a interesting journey. After losing everything I worked so hard for for years, I lost it all. Because of my choices while drinking.
The past year has been an even more interesting journey. Nathan and Leah have shown me love that I didn't really know existed. The love of God has shown itself to me and it's because of God, Resurrected Ministries and New Life Recovery that I am able to overcome my addiction. I have grown to start loving myself again and am able to start loving others. God has opened so many doors I never thought would be open again.
My future goals are to find some land and have a farm and a little house. To be able to help others the way I've been helped and to bring others to Christ.

About The Leader
Hello! My name is Leah Wolfe. This is a little summary about me and why I wanted to start a recovery group. I struggled with drug addiction for a little over a decade. My struggles caused me to ruin relationships with my family, friends, and God. I lost jobs, money, possessions, and all sense of myself. My addiction led to a life of crime which landed me in jails, and prison for a total of 3 years. It was in those 4 walls I found God again and began a journey of healing and re-learning how to live the right way and become who God called me to be! The more I trust God and live the way I am called to live, the more he restores me. He has healed relationships I never thought could be repaired and blessed me with a family and ways to provide for them. He has restored who I truly am and has blessed me beyond my understanding. I am now on a mission to pass on what I have discovered. That is the freedom I have found from my past through Jesus Christ. All I have done would not be possible without Jesus as well as the healthy relationships I have with my family and new friends I have found in my recovery. I am so grateful to Him for everything and know he wants to share the same freedom with everyone struggling! We can't do it on our own!
